Disorderly Conduct: Dismissed
An intoxicated bar patron was asked to leave the establishment and refused. The bartender then contacted Providence Police for assistance with removing him from the premises. When police arrived and asked the man to leave, he again refused. Police apprehended the man to escort him out of the bar and he physically resisted. The man behaved violently with police by using threatening language and physically flailing and struggling with them. As a result, he was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. The man retained Rhode Island Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III, to represent him in District Court. Over the course of several pretrial conferences, Attorney Calcagni successfully persuaded the prosecutor to dismiss this case in exchange for a small charitable contribution.
