Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest: Dismissed
Police responded to a local Rhode Island bar for a report of an unruly patron. When they arrived, they encountered an intoxicated family acting disorderly in the bar toward both staff and other patrons. Police approached the woman and instructed her it was time to leave. She argued with them, and eventually physically struggled, to stand her ground and avoid being removed from the premises. Because of her behavior, she was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. The woman hired her high school classmate, RI Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III. Attorney Calcagni hastily had the matter dismissed citing the woman’s lack of record, uncharacteristic behavior and suspicion that someone may have spiked her drink. The matter was since been sealed from the woman’s record.
