Criminal Case Results: Possession of a Weapon: Dismissed.

Police Report: Police conducted a traffic stop of a young man and his friend. Smelling an odor of marijuana coming from inside the car, the officer searched the passenger compartment and its contents. Inside a backpack, he located a law enforcement baton. This led to the man’s arrest and charge in Rhode Island District Court for unlawful possession of a weapon. The man’s father, a correctional officer, retained Rhode Island Firearms Criminal Defense Attorney, John L. Calcagni III, to defend him in this matter.
