A second officer arrived and went inside to speak with the 9-1-1 caller. The caller stated that she and the other woman had been married for over 20 years and recently separated. The two had an argument today, which turned physical. Police charged the perceived aggressor with Domestic Simple Assault, Domestic Vandalism and Domestic Disorderly Conduct in Rhode Island District Court (3rd Division). She hired Rhode Island Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III, to defend her in this matter.

The woman had no criminal record and had been with her wife for several years. After several weeks of negotiating the case, it was scheduled for trial.
