Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance: Dismissed

A U.S. Army veteran was charged in Wareham District Court with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.   These charges stemmed from a traffic stop of the man at which time police learned his license was expired and that he was then in possession of suboxone pills.  The man retained Massachusetts Criminal Defense Lawyer, John L. Calcagni III, to defend him in this matter.

Attorney Calcagni assisted the man with getting his license reinstated.  He also obtained proof of the man’s substance abuse treatment and valid prescription for the suboxone discovered by police.   Based upon this information, Attorney Calcagni successfully persuaded prosecutors to dismiss this case and its charges (one misdemeanor and one felony) against his client.
